Meet the artist
Liz Gembarski Sullivan is a professional artist with experience painting in acrylics. She is best known for her vivid paintings of reflective still lifes. Glass and silver have been frequent sources of subject matter for photographs which she transforms into paintings. Liz often photographs ordinary, every day objects and paints them as large scale representations. The mundane subjects become illusions of an ideal world as colors, reflections and shapes become more significant than one might perceive in reality. Part of her motivation is the enjoyment of the small things, to give the viewer a chance to stop and appreciate the beauty that lies in front of us in our every day world that we so often overlook.
Liz creates her artwork from her home studio in Pleasant Mount, PA where she lives with her husband, two children, and German Shephard. In addition to painting, she also enjoys freelance graphic design, illustration, creating Halloween costumes, making food and cake art, as well as art & science projects with her eight and two year old kids.
